Феноловый красный
Синоним: Фенолсульфофталеин, сульфенфталь
Красные или коричневые кристаллы, растворим в спирте, плохо растворим в воде. Выпускается также в водорастворимой форме в виде натриевой или аммонийной соли. Кислотно-основной индикатор (при pH 6,4-8,2 переход окраски от жёлтой к красной). Применяется в микробиологии в качестве индикатора для тканевых культур и как добавка к питательным средам.
