Аурин

Синоним: Розоловая кислота; жёлтый кораллин; 4,4-дигидрокси-5-метилфуксон; иногда розоловой кислотой называют смесь 4,4-дигидроксифуксона и 4,4-дигидрокси-5-метилфуксона

Красновато-коричневые кристаллы, растворимые в спирте. Кислотно-основной индикатор (при pH 6,9-8,0 переход окраски от коричневой к красной). Применяется в микроскопии для бактериологических и ботанических целей.
